Soirées
Our next soirée will be Thursday 29 September at 7:30pm. at the AEU office, 63 Best St Devonport (opposite Kmart).
We work for some of the time in three groups - basic, intermediate and advanced. One person will facilitate each group.
The basic group participates in learning activities which will assume only a basic knowledge of French. These may incorporate reading, writing speaking and listening. Please bring paper, a pen and a French/English dictionary, if you have one.
The intermediate group mostly practises speaking and listening about some topic and are able to do some preparation if it is wished.
The advanced group is an English –free zone and discusses a topic, a piece of literature etc.
People can place themselves in whichever group they feel most comfortable.
Tea and coffee is available, but please feel free to bring wine, beer or… if you would like something harder.
Everyone is asked for a donation of $2 at each soirée to help with our expenses.
Pétanque - 2:00 pm
If you would like a fun game of pétanque come and join us at 2:00pm on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month. The “boulodrome” is the grassy area just beyond the Coles Beach parking area. All are welcome – even if you haven’t played before.
